Available for auction is an art-piece by Greg Stirling featuring the "Orange Porsche 911". This 53" x 33" artwork is a hand embellished giclée print on canvas. Made from poly-cotton canvas material and printed with fade-resistant inks, then hand applied acrylic paint, oil-based markers, and UV resistant acrylic varnish is applied ensuring that your art piece print will stay looking great for years to come. Included with this art piece is a certificate of authenticity that includes exact specifications and details of the painting. The original Porsche 911 is a luxury sports car made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. A prototype of the famous, distinctive, and durable design was shown to the public in autumn 1963. Production began in September 1964 and continued through 1989. It was succeeded by a modified version, internally referred to as Porsche 964 but still sold as Porsche 911, as are current models.

Mechanically, the 911 was notable for being rear engine and air-cooled. From its inception, the 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of automotive competition. The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included, mainly the powerful 911-derived 935 which won 24 Hours of Le Mans and other major sports cars races outright against prototypes.

Greg Stirling lives and creates in San Jose, California. He recently became a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists, and his work has been featured in numerous automotive art auctions. He started creating art in 1980. After going through three decades of self-guided exploration in abstract expressionism, the art of the 20th century, and post-war impressionism, he arrived at the door of realism. To continue his area of study, Greg experimented with new techniques, media as well as innovative processes and concepts. Mr. Stirling is also an engineer, kinetic metal sculptor, and automotive enthusiast.

The seller would like you to know: "For this piece, I wanted to go back to the original 911 in a classic color coupled with an abstract painterly approach. I always liked full range color and high saturation. This original art piece is canvas that is stretched, gallery wrapped and ready to hang. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to charity." The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

@pcartwork Hello Pcartwork, Donations of 20% of the final bid price are made to the Ukrainian defense fund. Russia needs to stop their aggression, and otherwise be taught a lesson.
This image is not copywritten, you are welcome to download a copy, print it on your coffee mug, make a T-shirt, put it on your phone, or use it as a screensaver. Anyone is allowed to do that. If you want a print that is larger than a postcard, then you will need a high resolution file, and for that you will need to talk to me. There is however a copyright on the brand and signature of “Greg Stirling” and its likeness. Aside from that, my AI images are often combined in a photo montage, printed and then enhanced and altered with acrylic paint. I also make acrylic paintings from a blank canvas which have sold at this auction.
I did look at your work and I have to say you are truly an amazing artist, a true master! Keep up the good work my friend!
    Best Regards, Greg Stirling

Which charity and what percentage of the sale are proceeds going to?
Why sign your name on an AI generated image that you didn't actually create and can't be copyrighted?

@Genovo Hello Genovo, Thank You so much for the compliment!! Paint markers and pens, as they are often marketed, go a step further: They contain oil-based paint rather than ink and thus usually need to be shaken before use. The lines are typically not only water resistant but also resistant to fading and abrasion. Thanks, I will update the C.O.A. accordingly. Good Luck and happy Bidding!! Greg Stirling

  • Genovo 4 weeksago

Beautiful work! Could you please provide additional information on what is meant by the use of "oil-based markers"? I am left wondering about this.
Also, I noticed the phrase does not appear in the CoA.
