Available for auction is an embossed Camel Cigarette advertisement featuring the iconic Porsche 935. This signage was designed to promote their sponsorship of the 1982 Camel GT IMSA racing series approximately 42 years ago. This extremely rare collectible is in fair overall condition (please see gallery). Large in stature, this sign measures 5’ feet x 3’ feet and is sure to make a statement in any garage or collection. The seller states this example was rescued from a non-enthusaist and is excited for this to go to its next enthusiast caretaker to hang up and display. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

@emerge949 just wanted to give you an update. I had a custom made box for shipping with structural integrity (photo in gallery). It is now ready and in hand and will be used to safely transport the sign. Thank you again for asking.

If only it were a view of the “DIP” before they changed the track to make it “safer” Pretty sure I still hold the lap record for a “street stock” E30 M3 on the “Old” course before the change. I was at 1:52/lap on Michelin street tires. Absolute track record was 1:48 on Race Compound tires.
That was in 1995 when I was 28 years old. Damn time FLIES!!!!

@emerge949 that is a great question. I am already working in advance with a professional that I use for custom size boxes that has a packaging company. I will ensure it has structural integrity and is also properly packed inside the box as well. I am expecting the box to be a little bigger than the 5' by 3' and thick enough to have structural integrity. Great question.
Understood that shipping would be buyer's responsibility, but what are you able to provide to ensure it would be packaged appropriately to ship to west coast?

Please note that this sign was 'rescued' from a non-enthusiast and to please gauge its condition before bidding in both the condition-related videos and the abundance of condition-related photos in the photo gallery. It has noticeable signs of dents, scratches, tears, folds - however - it does add to the character of this ~42 year old sign and it will now be going to a true Porsche enthusiast to hang and enjoy!
