Available for auction is limited production 70th Anniversary Porsche Design Rennsport Chronograph. The Porsche Design Chronograph 70Y Sportwagen PCA Edition was available in limited quantity to PCA members. Limited to 70 pieces in a nod to the marque's 70th anniversary year, the numbered chronograph pays tribute to Porsche Design’s Chronograph I, the piece that launched the Porsche Design brand in 1972, eight years after its founder, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, designed the iconic 911.



The focus of the watch is its rotor, which is shaped to resemble Porsche's iconic Fuchs forged alloy wheel. Additionally, it features a black carbon-fiber dial with white minute markers and Guards-Red hands. An Alcantara and black leather strap features red and blue stitching, and a titanium clasp closes the watch. A 42-mm titanium case with black titanium-carbide coating houses the COSC-certified chronograph. It is capable of measuring precise lap times without resetting. This exclusive series was limited to 70 pieces and shows its carved limitation number on the case back as a validation of its uniqueness. This example is number 58 of 70 produced.

      I am the only owner and the watch was purchased in March, 2019, which was fairly close to the release date. 70 units were manufactured and around 10 units remained available when I purchased in March.
