    So everyone has some rough idea of possible shipping expense … the seats weight about 50.5 pounds. I measured the back and bottom, to create a volume and then i created a fake box big enough to hold two seat backs back to back and protected, then two seat bottoms bottom to bottom and protected and checked shipping that volume at 50 lbs each package. The bottoms were $160 and the backs were $205 for UPS ground from North Canton, OH to Seattle, WA. My estimate was probably on the low side in that I don’t actually have boxes yet and they may end up bigger, and I didn’t add weight for safe packaging. But probably good for a general estimate though. Best of luck and bring on the bids for these beauties!

    With all of the looks and saves these seats are getting and the limited time left, kinda feel like a knock out bid is coming … I’ll be watching closely to see who can grab these gems before they are gone. Happy bidding!

    @2FaasstDad Thanks for the explanation!

  • 2FaasstDad (seller) 2 years, 2 monthsago

    Yes, to my knowledge they are 100% original. These seats were acquired by virtue of purchasing the SC in which they were installed. The car was purchased 15 years ago and the seats have been in there that entire time until I just took them out. For certain during those 15 years there was no damaged, repaired or replaced material. I just gave them another once over visual with your question in mind and there are zero signs of anything other than original material - cloth seating surfaces and leather or vinyl rears. They look exactly as a couple of other sets of RSA seats that I’ve viewed. The quality of the stitching, and the piping between the two dissimilar materials and around the bolsters, etc is exactly as you would expect on an original seat of this quality. Thank you for your interest. Also if anyone is interested in doing a video call to inspect I’m open to that as well if there is a way to arrange that

    Just to confirm, material is all original? Thanks.

    Appreciate the bids folks, these crazy rare and nearly perfect seats are worthy of the attention. Most p cat fans haven’t ever sat in a pair but I’m here to share that in addition to looking amazing they feel out of this world. Mechanically they hold you, big bolsters all around but then surface texture wise they connect - there is no sliding, no skipping, you are gripped to the car and can feel all tha moves around you better tuning your gut to what inputs to give the car to do what you want - might be years before another set appears, probably not in this condition tho
