Hey all, we have about 24 hours to go on this auction and excited to see it heating up. Thanks again for your expressed interest and kind words!

I've had a few bidders reach out to me regarding provenance documentation or anything that would help the piece retain some kind of paper trail for collectability/value in the future. As my rolodex of collectors have slowly grown over the years, I've been advised to keep pretty consistent documentation and notations for these original pieces, so I always remember to mark my chassis number on the canvas stretcher and canvas reverse side, catalog the date and sequence it's been created in, and mark/sign them as one-of-one. I keep all that documentation in my studio documents, and am happy to provide them in the shipment of the piece if it's important to you. If not, I can always provide them upon request.

If there are any special requests related to provenance documentation that I'm not describing here, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate! Cheers and happy bidding,

    — SS

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting and bidding! I'm going to pass along some information about domestic / North American shipping, copied from the last painting I sold on here earlier this month:

    https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/no-59-rsr-painting-by-stephen-selzler/

    *** A note about shipping/handling! ***

Budgeting for shipment of this piece should be fairly straightforward, especially for North American buyers. I ship my canvases ready to hang and enjoy, so it'll be packaged in a fine art crate/box instead of dismounted and rolled in a canvas tube (common for international shipments, requiring re-stretching upon receiving the artwork). Due to the centralized nature of my studio's location— Dallas, Texas —shipping rates around the Lower 48 / Canada / Mexico / et al are pretty evenly balanced. My preference is to ship via FedEx or UPS, but am more than happy to entertain other methods if requested.

For pricing estimates/ballparks of shipping to your area, jump on over to FedEx.com and plug the following information in their Rate & Ship section:

From: Dallas, TX USA — To: (Enter Your City)
    Dimensions: 6"x38"x50"
    Weight: 17 lbs. 0 oz.

A recent example: I did a FedEx Express Saver / Home Delivery service product (the most economical for this size of parcel) to the Northeast for around $300, plus about $60 in packaging/crating materials which includes a reinforced cardboard art box with interior foam corners, sealed soft art bag to protect against moisture, exterior brown craft wrapping for added membrane strength, and fiberglass-reinforced taping to make sure there's no risk of the package coming apart during transport.

I've also done FedEx-friendly wooden crates that are form-fitted to the piece with polyfoam sheets and screwed all together for a tight, hard-edged fit. This will approximately double the price after the added weight, materials, and labor— but another option for collectors who inquire about this method. I've had great success with lite crating and conventional cardboard shipping vessels.

Any other questions regarding shipping? Feel free to email me: stephen [at] stephenselzler.com

    Thanks again and happy bidding!

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out "The Garage" here on PCarMarket. Just making an introduction to kick things off and offer my assistance if any of you have any questions. I'll be checking in from time to time to discuss a few FAQs about my work, including common inquiries about shipping methods and pricing. To that end, I've shipped plenty of these large 36x48 canvases all around the country, so I'll be able to pull quotes rather quickly for a variety of shipping methods.

If any of you want to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at stephen(at)stephenselzler.com

Lastly, it would be a a pleasure to see any and all of you follow me on my social channels:
